Our vision for Huncote Pre-school sets out its desire to provide children with the best possible start to school life, valuing them as individuals and enabling them to become confident, self-motivated and caring members of society.
It provides a welcoming and inspirational learning environment, which stimulates and challenges individuals to achieve their full potential.
We pride ourselves on developing the fundamental skills that ALL children need:
- Communication and Language through high quality texts, nursery rhymes, language rich stories and a playful provision. Alongside this, our Little Acorns begin Foundations in Phonics which supports them with key skills for when they join the reception class.
- Personal and emotional skills through stories and circle time. We want to support the children with self-regulation and their independence too. And for them to begin to advocate for themselves.
- Physical skills through our amazing outdoor area. Alongside our very popular Wiggle me into a Squiggle sessions and PE too. We want to encourage as much physical development as possible!
In addition, to all of these things, we want the children to have fun and LOVE school!
Huncote Pre-school is now part of Huncote Primary School, allowing both to work together collaboratively, participate in whole school events and feel even more part of the family community.
