Welcome to Huncote Primary School

A warm welcome from Sally Houghton, Headteacher
Huncote Primary School is a warm and welcoming school at the heart of the village community. We have 191 pupils in seven classes.

The school inside is modern, attractive and well-maintained. The classrooms are well-equipped and the grounds of the school are very attractive, containing a trim trail, garden area, amphitheatre and quiet shelter. We also have a multi-surface bright modern playground area. The playing field is large enough to accommodate a football pitch and a running track in the summer. There are a wide variety of extra-curricular activities available to pupils of all ages and the school takes part in a range of inter-school sports competitions throughout the year. We are proud of the care, guidance and support we provide for all our pupils, particularly those with Special Educational Needs, and that we are an inclusive and caring school.

🌟 Anti-Bullying Week at Huncote Primary 🌟
This week, our children have been working in small teams to explore what bullying and inclusion really mean—and how we can all work together to prevent bullying in our school.

They’ve created a short video to share these important messages with you. We’re so proud of their confidence and creativity in producing this piece!

Together, we can make sure Huncote Primary remains a safe, respectful, and welcoming place for everyone. ☺️

🌟 Crisp Packet Project – A Heartfelt Thank You! 🌟
Here at Huncote Primary, our amazing children and families have been collecting empty crisp packets—and the impact has been truly inspiring. 💛

Thanks to your generosity, these packets have been recycled into blankets that are now being handed out to homeless individuals in the city centre. But the story doesn’t end there…

In a powerful act of community and compassion, people currently serving a sentence have been turning these crisp packets into blankets—showing that kindness and change can come from the most unexpected places. 🙌

A huge thank you to Laura for bringing this initiative to our school and to everyone who has helped it grow. We’re proud to be one of the main contributors and are now working with the Embrace team to help expand the project to other local schools.

This is a beautiful reminder that small acts of kindness can ripple outward and make a real difference. 🌍💫

Please keep sending in your empty crisp packets—every single one helps!
